World, meet Hi-COLA!
The code presentation paper for Hi-COLA is released today! Hi-COLA is a code that simulates cosmological large-scale structure under modified laws of gravity. The name stands for “Horndeski in COLA”: Horndeski is the name of a very general class of gravity models. COLA stands for ‘COmoving Langrangian Acceleration’, and refers to the particular variety of simulation we’ve made (original COLA paper here).
The lead developers of Hi-COLA are Bill Wright and Ashim sen Gupta (see Group), along with our good friend and collaborator Georgios Valogiannis at Harvard. The paper is here, and the code will be publically released very soon (just a little clean-up left to do…)
